1887 C. Bechstein Model V Grand Piano - 6'7" - Fully Restored in Europe - High Gloss Ebony with Burled Walnut Marquetry Cabinet

This is one of the rarest and most breathtaking pianos we have ever offered. Built in Berlin in 1887 during C. Bechstein's celebrated golden age, when Bechstein was the chosen instrument of Claude Debussy, Franz Liszt, Hans von Bulow, and the Royal Courts of Europe.

The cabinet is extraordinary: high-gloss ebony with a burled walnut fallboard adorned with hand-inlaid floral marquetry, ornate cast-iron music desk with scrollwork, and gold-accented hardware throughout.

FULL EUROPEAN RESTORATION: New soundboard restoration, bridge caps, pin block, agraffes, new strings and tuning pins, harp rebronzed, completely new action, regulation, keytops, keybed felts, backchecks. Cabinet refinished in High Gloss Ebony with burled walnut and marquetry accent. Pedal and trap system rebuilt.
