Built in New York in 1921, this Steinway & Sons Model M, serial 208457, has been fully restored and refinished in a luminous high-gloss Amberwood treatment that celebrates the natural movement, contrast, and warmth of the wood grain. The result is a piano with the heritage and tonal promise of a golden-era Steinway, paired with a presentation unlike the usual ebony instrument.

The restoration was completed through a collaborative process: a portion of the work was carried out by specialist craftsmen in Europe, while the action work, regulation, and final musical preparation were completed by Lindeblad Piano Restoration. Cabinet and presentation work includes a high-gloss Amberwood refinish, rebuilt pedal and trap system, new keytops, refinished ebony sharps, and newly plated hardware. Structural and tonal work includes restoration of the original soundboard, a rebronzed harp, new pinblock, new agraffes, and new strings and tuning pins. Action work includes a new action, complete regulation, new key bushings, new keybed felts, new backchecks, new damper guide-rail bushings, and a reconditioned damper underlever system.
