Rare chance to own an all original 1968 New York Steinway Model B (6'11"), serial #411456, in ebony. It has never been rebuilt, which makes it an ideal starting point for a restorer, an institution, or a buyer who wants a restoration done to their own specifications.

This piano is offered AS IS and needs a complete restoration. Our technicians evaluated it:
• Soundboard: several major cracks, needs replacement
• Pinblock, tuning pins and strings: need replacement
• Bridges: need new bass and treble bridge caps
• Plate: needs rebronzing
• Action: hammers, shanks and flanges, and wippens need replacement; dampers need new felts and guide rail bushings
• Keys: new keytops, key bushings and keybed felts needed
• Cabinet: ebony finish has sun fading and wear on the fallboard, case and arms; brass hardware is in good condition
