This is a great piano in poor condition, but well worth restoring, given its musical potential and rarity. It was rebuilt decades ago with Renner action parts, new soundboard, pin block, strings, and dampers. It has the original back checks and mostly good ivory keytops. Since that work was done the soundboard has split in many places, lifted from the ribs in spots, and nearly lost its crown. The tone is weak with little down bearing in the upper bass and midrange. The hammers are worn, but usable. The pin block has #2 pins with good torque. The interior of the piano is very dirty, with mild rust on the strings. The let-off rail is split. The others are not visible with parts installed, but possibly split as well. The action is poorly regulated and has high friction (F4 is 25 gr. Instead of 12.5gr) and high down weight (F4 is 75gr instead of 50-55gr). The original case parts are present, but many pieces of veneer are missing. Hardware is tarnished. It is located on a ground floor with 4 steps up to the driveway. Inspected, tuned and brokered by Flynn Pianos.
