This Steinway k52 Professional upright was purchased from Avery's when it was new in 1987. The piano was beautifully maintained, and our technicians will prepare it for a concert level of performance.
The Steinway K52 is a wonderful piano with one of the finest scale designs available on an upright.

This piano has its hammers filed and voiced to bring new life into the sound. Damper felts needed some attention along with the strings. The piano has also been restrung. The soundboard is in excellent condition with good crown for a singing, sustained sound. . This finish is a premium Ebony satin finish that resembles a classical steinway with elegance.

The tone is deep and rich. The action is medium-weight and very responsive. It boasts a beautiful set of original keytops and the instrument needed minor touch-up work to bring it back to like new condition.

This Steinway model K also features a very rare true sostenuto pedal which very few upright pianos have. This is a nice addition if you are tackling advanced repertoire that calls for the use of the sostenuto pedal.
