Made in 1994 in celebration of the 60th birthday of Nikolaus W. Schimmel (at that time President of the Company), exactly 60 of these pianos were made. The instrument is all German made and finished, with German parts only (including Renner action). The technical description matches that of the "Classic Grand" of that time. Bought new in 1995, it has been continuously owned, played, and maintained by a (now-retired and downsizing) jazz and classical pianist and professor of music theory at the Eastman School of Music. The primary tuning, voicing, etc., are done by the best piano technician at Eastman, and the piano has been kept in an ideal humidity-controlled environment.
