I have owned this wonderful instrument since 1992; it was purchased from the local Steinway dealer. They regulated the action and I've had additional regulation done as needed; my Registered Piano Technician says the action is "noisy". I asked for the ivories to be replaced prior to the purchase as a few had been replaced with modern keytops and the true ivories were extremely yellowed; the contrast between "new" and "old" was quite visually jarring. The sharps are original. The piano was also refinished at that time. I do not know the history of the instrument prior to my purchase. The piano has been in its current location since 1996. It has been tuned about once per year, most recently April 15, 2026. There is a crack in the soundboard which was present when I purchased the piano; it has no effect on the sound quality. You'll notice the legs and pedal lyre are the modern style, the original legs and lyre were replaced prior to the dealer obtaining this instrument.
I'm honored to have been able to play this instrument all these years. I've always loved the tonal quality, especially the low end.
This piano will be sold with the artist's bench, quilted cover, and carpet protectors.
