1918 Steinway Model O – Lindeblad Restored – Satin Ebony – Exceptional Condition
Beautiful 1918 Steinway & Sons Model O (5'10"), extensively and professionally restored by Lindeblad Piano Restoration in November 2017 and finished in classic Satin Ebony.
Built during the period often regarded by vintage-piano enthusiasts as Steinway's “Golden Age,” this Model O combines the character and craftsmanship of an early-20th-century New York Steinway with extensively renewed structural and mechanical components.
We purchased the piano directly from Lindeblad following the restoration in November 2017 for our daughter. The restored piano has seen unusually light use, particularly since 2021, when our daughter moved away.
It has a warm, rich vintage Steinway character and is available for prospective buyers to play and evaluate in person.
The documented Lindeblad restoration was extensive and included a new historically accurate Bolduc 5-layer hard-rock maple pinblock, new strings and tuning pins, new Renner action components and hammers, complete action regulation, new Steinway backchecks, agraffes, key bushings and damper felts. The original Steinway soundboard was professionally repaired, reinforced and refinished, the harp rebronzed, and the cabinet and bench professionally refinished in Satin Ebony.
The piano remains in excellent cosmetic condition and has been kept in a clean, pet-free, climate-controlled private home.
