Nearly new Shigeru Kawai SK-7. Truly a world-class instrument purchased new in 2024. Now I sadly need to part with it.

I selected it after a painstaking search spanning the U.S. and Europe where I compared the Shigeru Kawai SK-7, Fazioli F228 and F212, Steinway B, Bosendorfer 225 and 214VC, Mason & Hamlin BB, Yamaha S7X and FC6, and Schimmel K219. I chose the SK-7 because it had the most sumptuous and gorgeous sound I have ever heard, plus a buttery smooth and even action. The action is made from carbon fiber which technicians regard as superior to wood for both evenness and maintenance.

It is truly magnificent, with a tremendous bass similar to a full concert grand, a beautiful singing midrange, and a crystal clear treble. The sustain is extremely long, as you can hear in the video.

In early 2026 it received its full-day custom servicing from Shigeru Kawai's Master Piano Artisan (MPA) who traveled from Japan to make fine tuning adjustments to perfect it even further.

The original 10 year manufacturer's full warranty is transferrable to new owner with over 7 years remaining.

Comes with professional Jansen artist duet bench with matching Shigeru Kawai decals on knobs.
