This 1968 Sohmer Baby Grand Model 57 was owned and played by the late, great Jazz Pianist, James (JAMAN) Manuel. Per recent appraisal notes, Piano is in good condition & "Totally Serviceable (needs tuning ~ 1/2 step flat in extreme registers)." There is no rust on the strings, the hammers show some wear, but are uniform, in shape & in line. The action is good, the dampers are good, and the tuning pins are properly holding pitch. Some keys have minimal surface chips and the ebony satin finish shows minor scratches & wear, indicative of age.
