The Kawai GS-60 was owned by Eiji Oue while he was music director of the Minnesota Orchestra. He had some of the top pianists sign the plate of the piano, when they came to perform. These pianists include: Radu Lupu, Sir Jeffrey Phillip Tate, Peter A. Serkin, Andreas Haefliger, Emmanuel “Manny” Ex, and Jean Yves Thibaudet.
