Of Note: The piano has the stamp of the Honneur Et Patrie – The highest award ever given any piano forte manufactured in the world.

Originally designed as a player baby grand piano with the noted front double legs and brass casters, it was converted into a free playing piano for resale prior to my family’s purchase over 80 years ago.

This beautiful American classic Baby Grand Piano was manufactured during the peak of Chickering & Sons height as a maker of fine, hand-crafted pianos and considered to be on par with the level of quality of Steinway & Sons.

The pedigree of a 1943 Chickering & Sons piano is an investment in history, craftmanship and artistic expression.

Extensively refurbished both inside the case and outside in 2003 to bring it to its glory along with its size of 5’4”, this beautiful “Quarter Grand” piano will gracefully accommodate many living spaces while resonating with a warm, rich tone.

It has been residing in a smoke-free environment away from direct sunlight and recently tuned, this fine instrument will bring many years of playing joy to its new steward.
