This is an immaculate condition, like-new Yamaha Model U1 Professional Upright Piano in the High Gloss Ebony finish for sale. It is 48" tall. Purchased new in 2008, it is 18 years "new". Must see and experience to appreciate. (It really looks and plays like a brand new piano.) This particular model has the same features as the new U series models on Yamaha's website, and looks virtually identical: 1) Full perimeter plate 2) Soft fall fallboard with special slow-close mechanism to protect fingers. 3) Locking practice mute pedal 4) Fallboard lock 5) Specially designed back and backposts for greater strength and tuning stability. 6) Special Yamaha aluminum action rail construction in the action. Finish is in very excellent (virtually "showroom") condition. Strings, hammers, keys, and action parts look "like new" and have very little or next to no wear on them. This piano was made in Japan, and according to Yamaha's serial # lookup, was "made for the US Market."
