Professional Appraisal by an RPT:

This piano from 1979, a 6'1" Yamaha G3, is in excellent condition. It has a black
satin finish in excellent condition. Structural parts are in fine shape: the piano has a
lovely tone, and supple responsive action.
Here are observations, beginning with the major structural parts: 1) Pinblock and
Strings, 2) Bridges, and 3 ) Soundboard:
1) Pinblock and Strings - The pinblock i s i n fine shape, with pins having plenty of torque.
Strings are in excellent shape.
2) Bridges. Pristine shape, as one expects in a Yamaha.
3) Soundboard. Also pristine shape, which shows the piano has been well-cared for and
not exposed to extreme conditions..
The Piano's Finish is beautiful with some almost imperceptible nicks and a repaired scratch.
The Piano Action: The hammers and wippens are in fine shape. It is functional and plays well.
The keys are well-cared for, and the lyre is working well, with no wobbliness or play.
The piano is flat, and needs tuning.
In appraising this piano, it helps to know that a new Yamaha C3 runs around
$30-40,000.
