Beautifully restored upright grand piano originally made by the Beckwith Piano Company and sold through Sears & Roebuck in Chicago. Only the piano’s body is of Victorian/Edwardian age, as it was completely rebuilt and restored by a master technician, namely, Jim Coleman of Coleman & Sons, who serviced ASU’s music department for many years. Originally referred to as a "Pompeiian" model, the body of this completely restored piano (new soundboard, strings, action, dampers, hammers & felts, pedals, and keys) is made of lavish quarter sawn “Tiger Oak” wood, which gives the instrument's antique design a unique sense of elegance. A full-size "upright grand,” the soundboard and string length are comparable to a full-size grand piano. The large soundboard and string length produce a greater volume and a rich resonance; the tonal / sound quality is full-bodied and exceptionally vibrant.

Original matching Tiger Oak piano bench is included.

Serious collectors / buyers only. Shipping / delivery not included in sale price.
