This Estonia Grand Piano is in near-perfect condition. I am the original owner and I purchased it in approximately 2004 – 2005. It has never left my living room. I am a professional pianist, and I have had the piano tuned every four months by a Steinway technician, so the tuning is exceptionally stable. Also, there is a Piano Life Saver System installed, which provides automatic humidity control. This enhances tuning stability and protects the soundboard.
The soundboard is in perfect condition, with no cracks. The keys operate flawlessly. The piano was broken in properly (again, I am a professional pianist) so the sound and touch are even across the entire range of the keyboard.
This Estonia Grand Piano has three (3) fully functioning pedals: full sustain; full sostenuto; and una corda. The hammers are made of the highest quality felt – Renner Blue. The rim is made from multiple layers of birch and other hard Baltic wood, which contributes to the unique Estonia sound.
This piano was hand-built. Estonia Pianos are world class pianos manufactured in Tallinn, Estonia. This piano has a Renner-built action, which is the finest piano action made. The action is not simply made from Renner parts; it was built by Renner for the Estonia Piano Factory. (The Hamburg Steinway and Bosendorfer pianos use Renner actions.)
