History: This piano was purchased by our mother, Patricia Scace, about 25 years ago for home use. It has lived in a conditioned space, together with a 2-manual harpsichord and an organ. About two years ago the piano followed her to her graduated-living suite.

The piano is tuned and ready to play.

Prior to its purchase by my mother, reconditioning work had been performed at Schaeffer's Pianos, Rockville MD, including:
• new felt under keys
• new key caps
• new damper felts
• 4 notes restrung (see photo)
• re-regulation
• soundboard cracks anchored to ribs (see photos)

Every effort was made to preserve the original warm sound and historic construction of this instrument and, by necessity, to retain its original parts. Therefore some strings and related hardware show superficial rust, and a century of light dust lays undisturbed on the soundboard.

The exterior finish is in excellent condition and free of any blemish. The appraiser pointed out a faint sun fade on the lid, but I can't see it myself. The instrument has always kept under cover when not in use while in our family.
