Fresh Professional Optimization: October 2026 service included pitch-raise tuning to A440, action friction reduction, targeted regulation, light hammer filing/voicing, and two new replacement strings. Full technician report available upon request.

Keyboard, Action & Playability:

Freshly Serviced Touch: Following recent friction reduction, key easing, and regulation, the action plays with a smooth, light and responsive feel across all 88 keys.

Warm, Balanced Tone: Light hammer filing and voicing have restored clean strike geometry, delivering a rich, nuanced tone—from delicate pianissimo to resonant forte.

Maintenance & Value Context: The piano retains its original 1970s Steinway action components (including factory Teflon bushings typical of this era), now fully optimized for immediate daily play. Like any ~50-year-old original Steinway, a future owner or concert artist may eventually choose a full action overhaul down the road.
