Beautiful 1936 Wm\. Knabe & Co\. baby grand piano that has been in our family since approximately 1940\.

In 2004, the piano underwent a substantial **partial rebuilding by a Registered Piano Technician \(RPT\)**\. Work included new strings and tuning pins, extensive action and key work and regulation, hammer reshaping/voicing/spacing, plate re\-bronzing, cleaning of the action and soundboard, French polishing of the piano, and polishing of the hardware. The original components that were retained were, in the technician’s words, **“perfectly serviceable.”**

The same technician who performed the 2004 work has continued to service and tune the piano ever since\. He tuned it most recently in August 2026 and has confirmed that the piano remains in **excellent mechanical and musical condition**.

The piano has been well cared for in a private home and has a particularly beautiful figured wood case.

We have the original 2004 invoice documenting the work, as well as the technician’s current assessment of its condition.

This piano has been part of our family for more than 85 years, and we are selling it only because we are moving.
