In 1955, Henry Ziegler Steinway, great grandson of founder Henry E. Steinway, became the last family member to lead the firm. Henry began his career at the Steinway factory in Long Island City, learning the skills of craftsmanship passed down by his forefathers. With endless energy, passion and talent, Henry transformed his vision into continued improvements to the manufacturing process, achieving unprecedented growth for the company and making the greatest piano in history shine brighter than ever.

Today, Henry is a legendary figure, universally admired and respected throughout the music industry. To commemorate his 91st birthday, and the enduring contribution of the Steinway family to the world of music, the Henry Z. Steinway Limited Edition piano was created.

In addition to Henry Z. Steinway's factory signature, this instrument also bears the signature of Steinway Artist and International Representative Larry Dalton.
