Handcrafted in Vienna during a highly coveted era of traditional craftsmanship, this instrument represents the pinnacle of European piano making. The Model 225 is legendary for its rich, orchestral tonal palette, thanks in part to its four additional bass keys (92 keys total) which expand the soundboard's resonant area. This piano has been meticulously maintained and was recently inspected and appraised by premier European piano specialist Eric Johnson, RPT, who rated the piano in Fabulous Condition. Action & Playability: The original Renner action is incredibly responsive, offering the precise control and deep, expressive touch that Bösendorfer is famous for. Structural Integrity: The soundboard, bridges, pinblock, and belly work are completely sound with excellent structural health and tuning stability. Cosmetic Note: The instrument features its original polished ebony finish. In the interest of full disclosure, there are a few minor cosmetic cold checks (fine surface lines) in the paint finish due to natural aging.
