My Grandmother was the original owner of this piano and played it for fifteen years…from 1951 to 1967. She passed, and no one has regularly played it for fifty-nine years. My mom had it for eighteen years, from ‘67 to ’85; my sister had it for thirty-seven years, from ’85 to 2022, and when she passed, I “inherited” it; I’ve had it for four years, 2022-present.
It has not been refurbished and to my knowledge there have not been any structural or mechanical repairs (none needed).
It is in good condition; it is not blemished (see photos). All the keys work; it was tuned and played and inspected in 2024. The felt hammer heads were replaced in 1994, but, again, no one has regularly played it.
