Exceptional 1998 Indian Rosewood Model B Steinway for Sale

This piano has been well cared for. It has be housed in a humidity-controlled home and tuned 1-2 times per year. The home’s windows are never open, and the piano is not over a heat register. The hammers are in excellent condition.

There is a little sun fading on the lid and left side of the piano; we applied UV film to our windows to prevent further sun fading. Also, there are small scratches on the wood behind the right foot/damper pedal (see photos).

Our former piano technician, the late Les Jorgensen, tuned and voiced pianos for the Wharton Center in Lansing, Michigan, and he personally owned three model B Steinways. He told me that he had “tuned thousands of Steinways and never found one that compared to this piano.” He also said that due to the exceptional quality of the piano, it had to come from New York; it did. I have the paperwork from the Steinway Gallery in New York.

My daughter studied flute and piccolo at the New England Conservatory and has perfect pitch. She is VERY selective about instruments. This is the finest piano she too has ever played. She has insisted that we try to find a professional pianist or student studying piano at the collegiate level.

This piano is part of the Crown Jewel Collection. New it is $239,000 special order plus MI tax, it would be $253,340. We are selling ours for $70,999. We live in West Michigan, and we are inviting any qualified buyer to come spend time and play the piano. We know that selecting a piano or any musical instrument is a very personal choice.
