Rare 1933 Steinway & Sons Model AR Reproducing Duo-Art Grand Piano in Honduran mahogany veneer with Empire-style double legs and matching bench. Serial #275232.

This instrument features the Aeolian Duo-Art reproducing system — a sophisticated pneumatic mechanism that plays piano rolls with the dynamic expression of the original recording artist. This is not a simple player piano; the Duo-Art was the premier reproducing system, capturing performances by Paderewski, Hofmann, Cortot, Gershwin, and others. The mechanism has been meticulously restored and is currently playable. Full 18-page appraisal report available upon request.
