I purchased this piano in 1988 from the original buyer in Houston Texas. I wasn’t comfortable with the touch, so my long time technician, who also worked for the Houston Symphony and Jones Hall, redid all the bushings and made it very comfortable for me. He also upgraded the original factory base strings.

All this time, it has been kept in an air conditioned environment, and tuned and cared for continuously. It has been moved three times, and it holds its tuning very well.

In the last five years I’ve had it reconditioned by highly qualified technicians in Austin. Unfortunately, my aging hands can no longer play the piano comfortably. I list below some of the items that have been worked on:

In other words this was a reconditioning of this instrument, and not rebuilding.
In addition, there are blemishes on the finish, and if they are of concern, they can be dealt with by the new owner. The worst of these can be seen in the photo that shows the edge of the folded over top cover. The others are relatively minor.

The instrument is accompanied by an (very heavy) adjustable bench with vinyl covering.
