This Baldwin Model D 9-foot concert grand from 1962 was recently rebuilt and is in wonderful condition. In its rebuild it received an all-new action, new keytops, new bushings, new strings, new damper felts, and a freshly rubbed satin ebony finish.

The Model D was renowned and prized for its concert sound. Possessing a powerful bass as well as a clear and warm tone, the Model D was the preferred choice of many concert greats including Igor Stravinsky, Bela Bartok and Aaron Copland. Dave Brubeck composed the piano part for the classic jazz song Take Five on a Model D.
