Bluthner was established. 1853, by Julius Bluthner in Leipzig, Germany. Julius died in 1910 and his sons Robert, Max and Bruno assumed control. The company remained in the Bluthner family until WWII when the factory was completely destroyed. In 1990 the family was back in control. Manufactured by Julius Bluthner Pianofortefabrik, GmbH, Ingbert Bluthner-Haessler owner/director since 1966. Located at Franz-Flemming-Str. 39, D-05179, Leipzig Germany. A new factory just outside of Leipzig, was completed in 1997. The Bluthner Co. controls Haessler, Irmler and Ronish brands. First represented in the U.S. by Kasimoff-Bluthner Piano Co. 337 No. Larchmont Blvd., Hollywood, CA 90004, from 1963 through 1993. In 1994 Bluthner was imported and distributed by German Piano Imp. and in 2006 the distribution company changed its name to Bluthner USA, LLC (Source: Pierce Piano Atlas)
