This elegant and timeless instrument was built just in time for the “Golden Age” of pianos. The end of World War I rolled into the roaring 20s, seeing an entire decade of cultural and societal transformation through the influence of music and modernity. At the heart of it all was this Wellington Chicago piano. Manufactured by The Cable Company Chicago in 1913, its attractiveness and durability is unsurpassed by many others from that era. Its reputation is rooted in its melodic tone character and quality along with its masterful build. It has always been an enticing piece economically, since its price is not exorbitant but reflects the utilitarian history of this reliable build. It remains a symbol of prosperity, creativity, and simplistic charm for the lover of pianos.

This piano was recently fully restored and plays beautifully. It is in great condition on the inside and outside, with a few minor scratches and nicks (as shown in photos) that do not disrupt the cosmetic grandeur of the frame. The material appears to be cherry oak, and I’m not sure if the bench is the original bench paired with this piece or has been replaced some time in the last 112 years. Overall this piece is in incredible condition and plays very well. It’s ideal for any pianist from beginner to expert level. Videos of it being played are available upon request.
