Selling this beautiful inherited Yamaha piano, which is in excellent condition. We had it appraised, and what follows is the content of the appraisal (by Simon Husbands, Piano Technician/Tuner):
Cabinet: in general, the piano looks very nice. There is very little wear anywhere on the piano. The pedals are a little tarnished, but otherwise the piano cabinetry is in excellent shape. Slow fall fallboard works well.
Belly: Good--bridges good. Plate good. Pinlock good. Pedals all work--sustain, half blow, and practice.
Action: Sound is medium to bright. Action is medium touch. Hammers show only a little wear. The keys are plastic and in good shape. Key dip is a little shallow, but the piano works well.
Value: In my opinion, the appraised fair market value (as of May, 2025) is $5,750. A new Yamaha piano of this size would cost around $12,000. This piano still has plenty of life left in it and is in great condition.
