A seldom played Steinway of remarkable power and beauty. The hammer felts are in very good condition. Dampers in excellent condition, though in need of adjustment. The action parts all look good when the action was recently removed from the piano and inspected, but it does need action regulating and the dampers as well . The finish is satin, ebony, never heavily polished but kept clean with 'wood soap' and cotton towels. But the sound is the thing about this instrument--of recording-studio quality. The owner is a piano tuner (Bread and Roses, Wahlberg Recording Studio). A "Piano Corder" was installed circa the 1990s.
