I am selling my 1998 Mason & Hamlin 5'8 Model A grand piano.

I absolutely love this piano, and the only reason I am selling it is we are moving to another state and cannot take it with us. I bought it in 2017 from a couple in Chapel Hill, who were the original owners and basically never played it. I have played it several hours a week, but do most of my practicing on a digital piano, so this piano still has very little wear on it and many, many years left for someone to enjoy.

New premium Mapes bass strings were installed in the Fall of 2020. The rest of the piano is original. The hammers are Renner Blue and barely have any grooves in them. They are heavier hammers and produce a very full tone. The bass in particular is much better than most pianos of this size. The action is by Mason & Hamlin from Renner parts, and I would consider it a medium-light feel.

A Dampp Chaser humidity control system was installed in 2017 to maintain constant humidity under the soundboard. I have kept the piano covered and closed when not in use, and therefore the inside is very clean.
