This is Yamaha’s highly regarded 6’1” C3-series grand combined with the factory Disklavier system, allowing the piano to record and reproduce performances using the piano’s actual keys and pedals. It can also be played entirely as a traditional acoustic grand piano.

The Disklavier has been upgraded with Yamaha’s DKC-850 controller, providing expanded functionality including CD playback, USB storage, and network/Internet capabilities. The original Yamaha Disklavier controller is also included with the sale. The Disklavier system and its functions are working as expected.

I purchased the piano from Keyboard Concepts in May 2017. It was tuned annually during my ownership through its most recent tuning in December 2024 and has never required repair or service.

Since being professionally installed in my music studio in 2017, the piano has not been moved. It has been kept in a smoke-free, temperature-controlled studio maintained at approximately 72°F.

The piano is in excellent overall physical and cosmetic condition. There are a few very minor surface marks consistent with normal use, but they are subtle and generally only noticeable upon close inspection.

An interesting bit of provenance: when I purchased the piano, Keyboard Concepts represented that its previous owner was an A-list celebrity. The name can be disclosed to the purchaser upon request.

The 6’1” size provides the tone, bass response and dynamic range of a substantial Yamaha grand while remaining practical for a home, music room, teaching studio or professional recording environment.

Location & Moving

The piano is located in West Los Angeles, CA, in a ground-floor ADU with straightforward access for professional piano movers. There are no difficult interior moves or upper floors involved, and the piano can be moved directly out of the ADU for loading into a moving vehicle.

Local inspection and demonstration are welcome.

Professional piano moving and all associated moving/delivery costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
