1976 Mason & Hamlin Model 50 professional upright piano, serial #80461, in black satin finish. American-made in East Rochester, New York.

The Model 50 is Mason & Hamlin’s full-size professional upright, designed to offer the tonal depth and dynamic range associated with a grand piano in a more compact footprint. This is a substantial, high-quality American-built instrument with a full, resonant sound and responsive action.

This piano has been professionally serviced, including hammer reshaping and voicing. The hammers were reshaped to address wear and restore their proper profile, followed by voicing to improve tonal balance and consistency across the keyboard. It will be tuned again Tuesday evening 9/8.

The piano is in good cosmetic condition for its age. There are light surface scratches, some rubbed finish at the corners, several small chips, and a larger finish chip on the bottom right leg which as been touched up. These are cosmetic and do not affect the instrument’s performance.

Mechanically, the piano is fully functional with all keys and pedals working as expected. Additionally, there are no cracks in the soundboard, no buzzing strings and no loose pins in either the tuning block or the sound bridges. This piano was built to last and it shows.

Buyer is responsible for moving this instrument.
