This is a good, strong Steinway A, regulated, voiced, and ready to enjoy. It has received varying levels of restoration work since 1910. The soundboard has crown and a few tight splits, there is good down bearing, the tone is full, the touch is even and fast, and it holds its tune very well. The tuning pins have plenty of torque. In 1998 it received new Abel hammer heads and shanks. Sometime before that it got a new pin block, strings, damper felt, Steinway repetitions, back checks, key tops and key bushings.
There is no work required at this time. It includes a climate control system and an artists bench.
