This grand piano has been in my family since the mid 1970s. We purchased it from a piano retail store. It is embossed with "Hof-Lieferant Sr. Maj. des Kaisers u. Konigs" which translates to "Official purveyor to His Majesty the Emperor and King." Historically, this means the C. Bechstein factory was an official supplier of pianos to the German royal family (specifically the Kaiser) and other European royalty. The top needs refinishing, as it has scuffs from setting picture frames on it. All the keys work. It has not been tuned for the last 10 years. We recently moved the piano to our garage, so it must be sold soon, as we only moved it there now that the temps are reasonable in California. The garage is climate controlled, but when winter comes it will be too cold. Don't hesitate to ask for more pictures or information.
