The Model 179 is the current, improved version of the 178 Feurich model. The 178 was awarded the 'Diapason d'Or' twice in its category. The 'Diapason d'Or' reviewers from the French classical music magazine 'Diapason', conduct annual tests for upright and grand pianos, sometimes using blindfolded pianists in identical acoustic settings to ensure impartiality.
