This Piano lived a life unplayed. The original hammers are full and round, and have never been reshaped. It was debuted at the Monterey Jazz festival during its first year of life, and lived in a private home ever since with a non-Pianist who enjoyed it as furniture.

This is not a Grey market Piano. You can confirm this on Yamaha‘s website, by entering the serial number. It was made for the United States market and sold in 1986. E4260808 is the serial number, see photo #6 for reference.

I am her piano technician, I’ve taken it into my shop and given it the appropriate regulation and touchup voicing. Tunes perfectly, this is a really good one! I can’t imagine finding more Piano for the money, and it’s a great piece of furniture as well. This would take somebody all the way through conservatory practicing eight hours a day for years. Incredible depth of tone and massive color and power, also able to play very softly. This was a very good year for the pianos, and also for pianos from Germany as well. There are quite a few few reasons for that, but finding a “low miles” Yamaha from this mid to late 1980s era is a nice find.

I can arrange delivery to just about anywhere, and I can guarantee this piano both action wise and structurally. I will be happy to do a video call with interested buyers anytime. Includes the original bench from Yamaha.
