Lovely-sounding Steinway Model 1098 Vertical / Upright Piano.

I bought this piano new from the old Steinway Hall in New York City. I had high hopes that I would play more and that our son would learn, but in truth this piano has had very little use since we bought it.

We have kept it in tune and had periodic maintenance checks. While there are a few cosmetic dings on the case, the interior is in excellent shape. The hammers and dampers are nearly pristine as you can see in the photos. The action is great across the full range. Pedal work fine (and still have the original felt booties...)

A lovely piano with a heart of gold, even if it shows its age a little cosmetically.

It is located in our home in Hastings on Hudson, NY - a short drive or train ride from New York City.
