Excellent condition, lovingly maintained. Because all Bosendorfers are handmade, there are meaningful differences across each individual instrument. Mine is an exemplary "player's" piano. In addition to having unusually strong sustain and sonic balance across all tonal ranges, my piano is remarkably responsive to modulations of volume, weight, finger position, and attack. My piano demands attentiveness to control, which it repays by allowing the player an incredible range of color. I can 'reorchestrate' what I play each time a play, bringing out voices or blending as I please. And its melding of its sounds is simply gorgeous. For all these reasons, I find this piano to be endlessly fascinating and entirely engaging. It is wonderful to play.
I fully expected this would be my forever piano. I'm selling it because my wife and I must unexpectedly relocate and downsize. I've priced this very fairly for an easy transaction. It's been cared for by a well known piano technician and rebuilder in Chicago, who can testify to its condition.
