The Kawai CA99 was the flagship model in Kawai's Concert Artist line in 2022. It is a digital piano, but employs a solid spruce soundboard with transducers in addition to a 360 degree speaker system, producing a richer piano tone that faithfully reproduces the ambience of an acoustic piano. The action for this piano is Kawai's Grand Feel III, giving the feel of an acoustic grand piano as well. The default piano sound engine is the Shigeru Kawai SK-EX, Kawai's flagship concert grand piano. And since this is a digital piano, you can always plug in headphones so that you can play without disturbing others.

You can use the 5" LCD integrated cheekblock touchscreen or Kawai's PianoRemote app to access other piano renderings, other sounds (electric pianos, organs, harpsichords, mallets, strings, vocal, base, guitars, drum rhythms, demo songs, lesson songs), basic functions (dual, split, four hands, transpose, tuning, etc), metronome, record/playback, etc.

Connectivity jacks include 1/4" headhphone, 1/8" headphone, MIDI IN/OUT, and USB as well as Bluetooth MIDI and Bluetooth Audio. The pedals are damper (with half-pedal support), soft (with half-pedal support) and sostenuto.

This piano was bought new in 2022 with the best of intentions, but has seldom been played since purchase. So, it is in like new condition.
