This was the personal piano of Donald Nold, collaborative pianist who founded the Collaborative Piano Department (then called the Accompanying Department) at Manhattan School of Music. He toured the world performing with musicians including Maureen Forrester, Martina Arroyo, Grace Bumbry, Gloria Davy, Justino Diaz, Michael Rabin, Tossy Spivakovsky, Camilla Wicks, Walter Trampler, Camilla Williams, Graziella Sciutti, and David Soyer. Nold hosted many coaching sessions and rehearsals on this very piano.

Per the last appraisal this 88 key contemporary instrument is in very good condition. The soundboard and the wrest-plank are in very good condition. The tuning pins and strings are a bit rusty however this condition has no effect on the stability of the piano and it will hold its tuning. The key-buttons and key-bushings are in very good condition with minimum side-to-side and no back to front looseness. The molded key tops are a bit discolored but are in good condition. The case of the instrument is traditional and styling and finished in satin ebony finish. The finish is in fair condition with finished fading in some places.
