I purchased this Steinway Model L brand-new from Steinway back in 2002, and it remains in MINT condition. It could pass for brand-new, and I have all the paperwork from the purchase.

I’ve taken exquisite care of this piano, keeping it at Steinway’s recommended temperature and humidity levels year-round. I play it a few times a week, and the sound it creates is just exquisite.

As you may know, the Model L is Steinway’s full-sized “Living Room Grand Piano” — NOT a baby grand or mid-sized piano.

It has a full, rich sound that you just can't get out of Steinway’s grand pianos that are smaller than the Model L.

And as I mentioned, the sound of this piano is just extraordinary.

I purchased this at a Steinway black-tie event that was attended by Henry Steinway. I was able to have a lovely conversation with him, and he signed my piano's soundboard for me. My salesperson Barb snapped a photo of him signing my piano with me standing next to him.

The keys on this piano all work impeccably and the soundboard is perfect. Everything is in top-notch shape, including the Ebony Satin finish, which could still pass for new. NO scuffs, NO scratches. Just gorgeous.

Comes with the original Steinway adjustable bench that came with my piano. It is also in MINT condition.

As you may know, the current model of this piano (now called Model O) sells for $109,000 brand-new at Steinway stores.

And the Steinway store in Chicago sells pre-owned mint-condition Steinway Model L’s from my piano’s era (2002) for $55,000 to $60,000.
