The Texas Medical Center Orchestra (501(c)(3) is selling an exquisitely well-maintained 1954 Steinway Grand, Model L, 5’10’’, with a beautiful walnut finish. Serial number 341999, signed personally by H. Steinway. This instrument was inspected on 7/23/2025 by a certified piano appraiser (member Appraisers Guild of America) and valued at $21,000. Of particular note is its excellent tone, great condition of the wood, finish, mechanics, and the non-Teflon flange bushings. Included in the sale price is a custom, genuine leather piano cover, individual 3-wheel casters (to protect floors for home use), and a high-quality black stage dolly with brakes for easy positioning in a theater setting ($1,000 new).
