Bösendorfer Imperial 290 | Built 1973 | Historic Provenance

This is a rare opportunity to acquire one of the most extraordinary concert grand pianos ever built: a Bösendorfer Imperial, 290 cm, manufactured in 1973, featuring a certified ivory keyset and exceptional tonal depth.

The piano was formerly owned by Preiser Records and was played by Friedrich Gulda and others in historic recordings at Casino Baumgarten in Vienna. Bösendorfer issued a detailed technical report in December 2023 confirming the instrument's good condition. It was freshly voiced by one of Vienna’s top concert technicians.

A performance video is available via the video icon above.

The piano is currently available for trial in a private recording studio in Vienna. We offer a unique and fully supported experience for serious U.S. buyers:

- Studio access 24/7 during your visit (includes studio key)
- Airport pickup and return personally arranged
- Hotel booking next to the studio included
- Complete export and shipping to the U.S. is included in the price
- The only buyer obligation: obtain import permission from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (due to ivory components)

Affordable direct flights from several U.S. cities are available via Austrian Airlines and United Airlines.

This piano is suitable not only for concert halls but also for collectors or private individuals seeking the finest in sound, heritage, and craftsmanship.

Serious inquiries only, please.
