This fine Steinway B plays well and sounds great. The touch is even and responsive. The tone is full and smooth across the keyboard. It has the original 1982 action parts except for 2017 NY Steinway hammers & shanks. It is well-regulated and voiced. The belly has good down bearing and 3 hairline splits with no separation from ribs. Hence no noises. Tuning pin torque is high and the bass strings have plenty of life.
The satin ebony lacquer case is in very good condition, only showing minor paper scratches from sheet music. It has been climate-controlled and tuned regularly for last 8 years.
