I am the original owner and purchased the piano new in September 2016. I am an amateur player/hobbyist and wanted something really nice to play/practice after many years of playing on less refined acoustic or digital pianos. I choose the K500, as compared to other uprights, because of the exceptionally warm tone quality, but also I really enjoyed the feel of the Millennium III Action and especially the NEOTEX coating on the keys. Even as a hobbyist I have found owning a quality instrument such as the K500 has inspired me to find more time to sit at the piano and consequently has improved my playing.

I had a humidity control system professionally installed in the piano (Dampp Chaser humidity control system) as well at the time of purchase ($1200 between parts and labor) that has really helped with stability of the piano throughout the year between tuning.

The piano still has a little more than a year left of on the 10 yr manufacturer warranty from Kawai, which is transferable (Expires Sep 2026). Piano also comes with a matching artist’s bench.

I am sure the new owner will enjoy the piano as I have. Asking price includes the humidity control system and delivery in the Sacramento, CA area.
