Mid Century Modern Baldwin Acrosonic Piano 947

This 1960 gorgeous, expertly-designed and crafted piano is in overall great condition. It is the only piano ever designed with a Danish Mid Century aesthetic: the modern tapered leg design and solid walnut cabinet makes it a work of art as well as a musical instrument.

It has been well cared for by a single owner in a climate controlled, non smoking home. This piano was tuned and appraised by a seasoned professional on 4/25/25 (available upon request). It may need to be fine tuned after it is moved, as do all pianos after they are moved.

Condition
- The walnut wood grain is beautiful, and the cabinet is in very good shape, with wear consistent to it’s age.

- This very playable piano sound is medium to bright, and the action touch weight is light.

- The keys are in good shape with no chips and function as they should.

- The sustain, half blow and bass damper lift pedals all work and the brass has been buffed to it's original luster showing only minor signs of tarnishing.

- The front caned panel is in very good condition, with one small blemish (I’m limited to posting 6 photos on this website so I’ll provide detailed photos upon request.). The back panel is missing.

- The original bench with black leather upholstery is in good shape and very sturdy. There is one repaired crack in the base of the bench (available upon request).

- The cabinet has only minor surface scratches, light nicks and slight fading (available upon request).
