This Steinway Model O underwent a complete, professional restoration in 2015, with every major component renewed: new hammers, pinblock, strings, and pins, with the plate removed for comprehensive rebuilding. The original ivory keys were preserved due to their exceptional condition. The work was performed by a master technician/restorer, John Koelle, www.jkpiano.com - from whom the owner purchased the piano directly for $24,000 (original documentation available).
The piano features a flawless traditional satin finish that showcases the wood's natural character. A humidity control system, installed after restoration, has protected the instrument since 2018. With just one owner and minimal use over the past decade, the piano remains in perfect tune and excellent regulation - it has been regularly serviced. This masterfully restored Steinway is only available due to the aging owner downsizing. A concert series Jansen Bench is available with the piano.
