As with most American made pianos, this 5’10” Emerson parlor grand Piano has a high tension scale, which in this
piano produces a fully projecting clear and distinct bass tone with a volume balanced full and clear upper register. In its present condition, this piano is fully functional for home, teaching and accompaniment use . The good news is that its aging and use has enriched its tone quality to match or exceed many 6’ grand pianos. It has had quality pin block, stringing and action reconditioning. There has been much work on this piano. It has an installed pin block, all tuning pins and all strings have been replaced. The hammers have been reshaped and likely voiced. The top of the sound board may well have been re-sealed when the piano was restrung. Hence, no serial number has been located for it. All this work is superb. This fine craftsmanship is evident and competent. This piano has an alligator finish.
