The following has been done to this Baldwin in 2024:

- New Ronsen Wurzen felt hammers
- New Renner hammer shanks/flanges repinned as needed to place the center pin friction between 4-6 grams
- New Hellerbass bass strings with Paulello Type 0 core wire
- Downbearing reset throughout the piano using Baldwin's Accu-just hitchpin system
- Complete action regulation including key leveling
- New damper felt and damper guide rail bushings, wires polished
- Profelted key bushings
- Case refurbishment (rub-out, touch-up) to a B-Grade finish
- Hammer voicing for consistency and variety of tone, not going too far in defining the sound before it finds its new home

This is a VERY pleasing instrument to play, ready to be enjoyed as-is. However, if further restoration is desired that can be arranged prior to delivery. I can restring the piano for $3K which would include new tuning pins, underfelt, a hybrid scale if desired, new agraffes in the middle section, a re-shaped V-bar, as well as some bridge refinement. There is some corrosion in the plain wire section and a bit of false beating which a restringing would address.

I find the action to be responsive and satisfying but it is a bit on the heavy side. A custom key weigh off could be performed for $1K.

To repeat, this piano is very enjoyable and doesn't call out for further restoration. I simply lay this out since this site creates the possibility of a remote purchase. The above could be done at a later date, if desired (by a technician in your area).
